EVENT TIMETABLE &
IMPORTANT PRE-RACE INFORMATION

09:00 – 2k Fun Run
09:45 – 5k Race
11:00 – 10k Race
Race numbers should be picked up from the Registration tables at the Event Centre.
Registration shall be open from 08:00 so please make sure you leave plenty of time to do so in order to get to the starting line.
To avoid disruption please aim to car share, arrive early and park sensibly within the car park.
Event shall be signposted from the top roundabout in Northwich, where you can see ‘PureGym’ on the corner. The closest car park is Leicester Street car park (nearest to Carey park). There is also the old council yard we used last year and Barons Quay (Asda) offers free parking with a 4 hour time limit. Please observe all car park restrictions before heading over to the event.
Please park in bays as Northwich has eager traffic wardens and we kindly ask that you do not park on grass verges. There is not access to event via Marbury Lane, please use the bridge across to Carey Park from the large car park opposite Matalan. This shall be signposted.
A bag drop facility will be provided at the start from 08:15. You will need to have a Bag Drop Tag which is available from registration.
The race will be timed using ankle electronic timing systems. It is compulsory for all runners to wear their timing chip; failure to do so will result in you not being classified in the race results.
Prizes will be awarded as follows 5k at 10.45 at the start/finish. 10k at 12.10pm at the start/finish.
Toilets will be available at the start of the race, during registration. There will be a limited number of toilets (portaloos) at the race start and finish. Public toilets are available in Northwich Town Centre (approx. 1 mile from course) and within Marbury Park (approx. at the 7k point into the 10k race).
The event centre is a 10 minute walk (max.) from the car park. We will hold the Registration here, bag drop off, food and drink, toilets and a couple of fair rides for the little ones so bring some pennies along.

Food and Drink
Drink stations will be held at:
5K race; roughly halfway round
10k race; halfway (at 5k) and the 9k point
There will be hot and cold food and drink on offer in the event centre, plus there are a number of local food retailers along Northwich Town High Street.
Roads & The Use of Headphones
The road section in both the 5K and 10K are on private roads, not open to the public, but they are not close to park rangers, service vehicles and emergency vehicles. Because of this, please do not have two ear earpieces in at any time to ensure that you can hear any approaching vehicles. You must also be able to hear the marshals at all times.

Important Safety Information
We shall be closing the road down past the tip, so please be advised that pedestrians shall be on the road.
The races themselves involve running on both road and trails, so please dress wisely. Marshals shall be stationed around each course, and the paths shall be sign posted, however please take time to learn the routes ahead of race day.
Please run on the left hand side of the road at all times unless instructed otherwise by a marshal, we will also have “roving” marshals on bicycles to ensure the runners safety, and be aware that all roads are open to emergency service vehicles.
